Foodora workers in Canada received a $3.5 million settlement after suing their employer for union busting. Foodora chose to leave Canada in April 2020 after the Ontario Labor Board voted to recognize the couriers as company employees. The Canadian Union of Postal Workers sued on behalf of the workers and declared that the settlement would be distributed between all Canadian Foodora employees.
