The staff of podcasting company Gimlet Media, recently acquired by Spotify Media, voted in favor of unionization with the Writers Guild of America, East. Gimlet is the first podcasting company to join the WGAE. Notably, the union includes contractors. Update: In April, management announced they would recognize the union.
