Seventy employees who work for Change.org unionized and joined the Workers of America's CODE-CWA Project. Organizing in the company began with Erni Poché, who noticed that the company used the racial identities of its employees to claim diversity and inclusion within the company. Black employees reported being disproportionately assigned to petitions around race, for instance. The workers who joined the union want to have a say in wages, benefits, and the implementation of diversity and equity programs.
