Amazon warehouse workers in Tilbury, Essex (east of London) stopped work after Amazon offered to raise salaries by only 36 pence (42 cents, at the time) an hour. GMB, a logistics and gig economy union in the region, said the workers waned a raise of 2 pounds ($2.43, at the time). Amazon does not recognize the union. News sources report similar actions in Dartford, Belvedere and Rugeley.
