Google executives abruptly canceled an employee-organized event about caste bias in April said the company's top diversity officer during a monthly all-hands meeting on Thursday. Employees bombarded executives during the all-hands meeting with questions about addressing caste discrimination and why the anti-bias talk had been pulled. Three people who were present shared an audio recording of the meeting with Business Insider. Tanuja Gupta, the event's organizer and a senior manager at Google News, had sent an email announcing she was quitting Google because of the company's reaction.
